Friends...

Bette midler told us we gotta have them. But is it possible for two
people to be friends when only one of them thinks they are? You see
each other at get togethers, smile and do the hand shake/hug. You
talk, drink, laugh... Do all the things you think friends would do.
But what if one side is only friends when the other is around and meh
at other times? Not disrespectful, but not what could be called

im home... damn it!!

so i made it home around 4pm. it took about 1 hour less than going down to l.a. and somehow didnt hurt as much. i had a cramp buster to help with the hand. will post pics soon...

very unhappy with me. But then I get to see ande and my puppies. And
the cat will tell at me.

My next stop

148 miles from by last stop and I had to gas up and stretch out.
Wanted tostop at Kettleman city bit the off ramp was closed so I
pushed ok to the next gas. $4.37 a gal. Second most I've had to
pay. $4.59 is the most so far. Once again, thank Jobs for the
iPod. Met a kid on the way down at the bottom of the grapevine who
was going from Fresno to Ventura and had no iPod or even ear plugs.
He was in a gsxr and looked very unhappy. Gotta finish my SoBe and
get back on the road. Making some great time going back as I'm with
traffic and they are going fast. Around 85-90 most of the time.
Havnt seen to many bikes on the road, there was a lot more coming
down. Tried to get some action shots while moving I hope they come
out good.

time to go back...

today is the day to head back.  i think my ass hurts already and i have yet to leave.  picked up a throttle paddle.  its a paddle that clips on to your throttle so i dont have to have my fingers wrapped around the throttle thus elevating  the cramping in your hand.  i hope it works...

Decided to stop at the grapevine to get some water before going up and over.  Had to fill up the tank again after only 132 miles.  Thats very odd as i can get 140 around town.  It starts to feel like its sputtering and that stops after i fill up.  Thats not good.

the next day and, well, all may not be well...

so, i went to bed pretty early and slept like a rock. woke up around 7:30 and i feel sore. really sore. on the positive side, i can sit down. when i got in yesterday my ass hurt so bad it was painful to sit down. so a cup of coffee and some advil should help me get thru the day. i just need to make sure im ready to go by monday. i hate to say this, but im not really looking forward to riding back on monday. eh, whatever. it will be good to get home... back family day today and it will be good to see everybody.

393 miles into the 470 total. Stopped for gas off the 210 near the
57. At about 117 on this tank. Bike didn't need it my ass did.
Almost there. I don't think anybody will me home when I get there. I
can take a nap out front.

Need to eat

I made it another 50 miles and found a denny's. I know, kinda gross
but I just want some scrambled eggs and toast and coffee. Oh, and
water. I've found that my mouth is getting dry.
Than Jobs for the iPod. I've got hours apon hours of music and is a
good thing. Lots of beagles, radiohead, the police. Along with
queen, Springsteen, and rufus wainwright. Maybe I'll try a podcast on
my way out of here. Till next time....

my iphone has been freed...

i finally jailbroke my iphone. and the main reason i did so, intelliscreen. this allows information to be displayed on your lock screen. if apple would do this i wouldnt have to jailbread it. but, since i did i also put a new theme on it and tried loading a nes rom. couldnt get the rom to work, sad face, but not a real big deal. also, wifi toggle, one touch to turn your wifi on/off. will post a pic soon.

its been a while

so, its been a while since ive posted... what have i been doing?

well, ive been obsessing over too human. what great game. but the ending is such a cliff hanger, i really hate when they do that. usually because it takes another year or two to continue the story.

i watched the dnc. now, i was gonna vote for obama anyway, but his speach was just great. he can speak better than clinton can. bill that is. hillary was great and i have no doubt that if she had spoken like that, it would be her not obama on the ticket. but, i heard her handlers told her how to act and wrote her speaches for her... too bad. obama wrote his own speach with inputs from other people, not the other way around.

the daily show coverage was fantastic as usual. i saw an interview with jon stewart and the reporter said that a historic amount of young people are getting involved in politics and that the vast majority of them get it from the daily show. jon was very gratious in saying he can understand why humor would make politics more accesable. they are kinda dry and depressing at times and the fact that they can learn and laugh... well. its kinda like drivers school. the hardest drivers school to get into is the comedy one (yes, there is a comedy based driver school).

what else, well, a little depression as i realized i couldnt afford to take the online A+, Network+, and Security+ classed i wanted to. i really need to get these classes done to get a better, more secure job.

so i tried starting a blog on wordpress.com to see if i liked it better. mostly because they have an iphone app... well, its pretty much the same as blogger. of course either would work, but only if you actually post on it...

i can post on here just as easily as wordpress by email. so, no more wordpress. even though i think you can have more options on wordpress than here, why not just stay put?

new iphone

this is my first post from my new iphoneiPhone. it works ok. the screen keeps freaking out. but iI can keep typing

a lot has changed

so, a lot has changed. i was notified on april 16th that my company would be shutting down my branch and that may 19th would be my last day. well, that kinda sucks. sure i hated my job, but it payed the bills and i at least had time to find another job. now, i HAVE to find another job. and not on my terms... nobody likes that.

but, i have a plan. i have a couple of leads allready. one to factory motor parts. but they currently have nothing available on the west coast. and yes, i want to stay on the west coast. also, kelley paper company. they called me at the urging of a current customer. but after talking on the phone, i emailed my resume and have heard nothing back. so, here is my plan. wait until the first and see if anything comes up. if on the first i have no solid leads im going to apply at starbucks, peets (they are opening one down the street from me), and gamestop (why not). all these will be for counter help or more if available. i would really like to get into peets and see if a management position is possible near me. also, trader joes is hiring managers/asst. managers. they are a good company to work for, only, relocating would be a must. as long as it was on the west coast i wouldnt be to apposed to it. so, i have the business card of the guy at trader joes that i need to talk to. will make an appointment to see him.

i worked on my resume. had a couple of friends look at it and adjust some things. hopefully it will be good. anyway, thats it for now. will try to keep up on this...

man, im tired

but working a lot lately. but i did find time to finally finish uncharted: drakes fortune. what a damn good game. like playing an indiana jones movie, mixed with a little jewel of the nile thrown in for good measure.

i have a problem...

i have an addiction... call of duty 4.  i play a lot.  not to much, i watch the sac. kings play.  i watch some tv. but whenever i see one of my friends playing and gaining  rank, when im not. i gotta play.   polish logic is on playing as i type and its killing me.  i want to play, but i got daily shows to watch.  and im trying to temper my playing.  ive got other games to play.  drakes fortune, an awesome game that is a great, fun time.  nope...  orange box,  hl2, episodes 1 & 2, portal. nope...  mass effect,  been thru it once, but its worth going thru again. nope...  

ive got two systems, but i only want to play one game.  damn you infinity ward.  

on another note, macworld started today an steve "evil genius" jobs has kinda done it again.  im impressed with the macbook air.  but it has its flaws.  the update to the iphone (dont have one, but gladly except one) looks good and is free.  but not on the ipod touch.  jobs himself said the two had the same architecture, but the update for the touch is $20.  whatever, i dont have one of those either.  its the apple tv take 2 that really impressed me.  follow the link

rain, rain, has gone away... but it will be back again someday.

so, the rain has left us for awhile.   but it promised to come back.  soon it will be back to motorcycle riding.  cant wait. i dont really like riding in the rain. so, some dry weather would be nice, but i like the rain.  a lot. will put a pic of my bike when im at a comp that has one... 

been playing a lot of cod 4.  damn its fun.  playing w/ friends online a lot.  goldsnuts, polish logic, norge wood, and (not enough) lil gravy.  all real, live friends... some old roommates.   im usually on when the kings (nba) are not playing.  speaking of which, i think im gonna go play.

just wanted to say that james marsden was the best thing in the new hairspray... the movie was good despite travolta, who wasnt bad, just distracting...  nicky blonski was was fantastic. she has an amazing voice and really had the part down.  everybody else was good, but i was really impressed with marsden, he just oozed cheesy host.
